Cattle Shot in Oliver County

Someone went on a shooting spree, killing nine head of cattle in Oliver County over the Fourth of July. The animals were in adjoining pastures two miles north of the Morton and Oliver County lines off Highway 25.

The owners of the cattle, Miles and Marjorie Tomac and John and Kim Dixon, all of Mandan, have pledged a $9,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. This is in addition to the $1,000 reward already offered by the North Dakota Stockmen`s Association.

This is the second cattle-shooting incident in North Dakota recently. The other involved 14 cattle shot near Hankinson.
