All Lanes on Bismarck Memorial Bridge to be Opened Tomorrow

Beginning Wednesday, July 4, all lanes on the Liberty Memorial Bridge in Bismarck will be open to improve traffic flow in anticipation of an increased number of motorists during the extended holiday weekend.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will resume maintenance work on the bridge, Monday, July 9, at which time traffic may be reduced to one lane at times. Maintenance work includes cleaning bridge areas and painting portions of the bridge.

The maintenance project is expected to be completed by mid-August.

Motorists and boaters are encouraged to use caution when traveling in the work zone in the bridge area. Travelers are advised to obey posted signs, reduce speed and allow for extra time to reach their destination.
