At Earth Recycling Inc. in Minot, they`ll take almost anything that may have been damaged in last year`s flood.
This includes appliances like washers, dryers and refrigerators. Also electronics and any type of metal.
As Earth Recycling Inc. Owner Arden Jesz explains, the condition of the items doesn`t matter. "We build up and it goes through a shredder and each gets shredded again, goes through and gets melted against at 2,800 degrees. So, if there is any contamination in there, few pesticides, bugs, whatever, it`s gone."
In addition to household items, Earth Recycling Inc. will also take aluminum and steel cans, cardboard, confidential document destruction, newspaper and plastics.
When you bring items to Earth Recycling Inc., they will pay you for each item. They are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
