Truck Fire Closes I-29

A section of I-29 was completely closed this morning after a semi started on fire. At around 10:00 this morning the semi, travelling north on I-29 near Grandin, apparently had a mechanical failure that caused both the semi and trailer to start on fire.

The semi and trailer burned to the ground. I-29 northbound was closed entirely until before noon.

The right lane will remain closed until the scene and debris has been cleared.
