Smoke-Free Petition Approved

Secretary of State Al Jaeger says he has approved the Smoke-Free North Dakota petition for circulation. The initiated measure would prohibit smoking in all public places and worksites throughout the state.

The sponsoring committee now needs to collect more than 13,000 signatures by August 8 to get the issue on the November ballot.
