Planting Hope Project | Video

One of the largest and oldest service clubs in Minot is doing their part to help cleanup from the flood. Monday, the Rotary Clubs of Minot kicked off the Rotary Planting Hope project. During last summer`s flood, an estimated 4000 yards and 300 acres of parks were damaged from the flood waters.

The clubs’ plan to help re-grow all that grass is to donate seed to homeowners and the Minot Park District. The club plans to raise $200,000 through their partnership with other Rotary Clubs and donations from local businesses and individuals.

“We want to get Minot green again. We have beautiful parks pre-flood, and they`re going to be more beautiful once we get everything back to normal. So just looking for, the clubs are looking for, everyone`s support in doing that,” said Jonn Knecht, Minot Rotary Club.

If you`d like to donate to the Planting Hope Project you can go online to comment www.rotaryminot.org.
