Ground Broken for New Hotel | Video

Eric Steltzer | 9/13/2011

Construction started Tuesday for a new extended stay hotel. Owners and City officials broke ground on the property north of Williston near the Sun Well service building.

The Value Place Extended Stay Hotel will have 124 rooms, and should be open by next spring. Owners also say they plan to build a restaurant on the property at a later date.

"Country wide there`s 175 Value Place Hotels, and the average stay is four months, so it`s a perfect product for the Williston market,” said Mark Cohoon, of Nakota Development Company.

This is Nokota`s first Value Place Hotel in Williston. They say they chose this location because it’s near the cities proposed truck route, and Highway 2 and 85.
