Porcupine Man Sentenced for Assault with Dangerous Weapon

Flying Horse was sentenced to two years and three months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release. Flying Horse was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment to the Crime Victim`s Fund and $8,383.90 in restitution.
On March 31, 2011, Flying Horse, his younger brother, and others gathered to celebrate Flying Horse`s birthday. During the course of the evening Flying Horse`s younger brother became involved in a verbal altercation that quickly became a physical altercation with the victim.
Flying Horse, in an effort to help his brother, joined in the altercation and with a kitchen knife stabbed the victim multiple times. The victim required medical treatment for his injuries.
