Bismarck Burleigh Public Health is holding a cholesterol screening from 8 to 11 tomorrow morning. Screenings take place on the second Friday and last Wednesday of each month. The screening provides cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar levels, along with an opportunity to speak with a dietitian.
"In North Dakota, elevated cholesterol is an issue that leads to a lot of chronic diseases including heart attack, stroke, so we want people to know their numbers and it has to do not only with foods we eat but also with genetic background," said Wanda Agnew, Bismarck Burleigh Public Health.
The screening costs $25, and you can make an appointment by calling 355-1540.
