Choosing the Right Sunscreen

You might think there`s not a huge difference between bottles, but doctors say everyone can benefit from sunscreens with a higher SPF, or sun protective factor. It`s recommended to wear spf 15 on a daily basis, and at least spf 30 if you`ll be spending the whole day out side. No matter which you choose, it`s important to put it on thickly and remember to re-apply, even if there are clouds in the sky.
"Even on hazy days, you`ll still get the UV light through the haze," Dr. Brad Bossort. "The people I see who get burned the most are the people out there on the water. Hazy day, the breeze is blowing, they don`t realize they`re burning and they come in with blisters."
Doctors actually recommend people wear sunscreen year-round, because even when it`s cold out the sun can reflect off snow and still burn people in the winter.
