It`s a holiday tradition in the capital city for people looking to get into the holiday spirit while learning about some North Dakota history.
The 14th Annual Holiday Open House at the Former Governors` Mansion was open Sunday for visitors.
The mansion is all decorated and people had the chance to tour the house, enjoy some holiday music and refreshments.
The open house is sponsored by the Society for the Preservation of the Former Governors` Mansion and the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
"We`ve been doing it for a long time and it`s meant to showcase the mansion, see what it is, how people lived. This building was purchased 1893," said Bruce Hagen, of the Society for the Preservation of the Former Governors` Mansion.
Visitors were encouraged to bring donations of non-perishable food and toys which will be distributed to low-income families in the area.
