Park Official Wants Oil Tax Money
11/24/2009
Williston Park Board President Larry Grondahl thinks park districts in the state`s 17 oil- and gas-producing counties should get a share of the money from production taxes on oil and gas.

Grondahl said he wonders why park districts were left out of the distribution formula.

State Rep. Bob Skarphol, R-Tioga, said counties that get oil and gas tax revenue can find ways to get some of the money to park districts. He said other entities, such as ambulance districts, also might have to be considered.
