The anticipation is over for Twilight fans. The second movie in the series, "New Moon", is premiering in theaters at midnight.
People of all ages stood in line for this big box office opening. The fan frenzy began early today as hundreds of people lined up outside the Grand Theaters in Bismarck. Tickets went on sale Thursday at noon. By 5:00 p.m., all 1,100 tickets were sold out. Grand Theaters played "Twilight", the first movie of the series, at 9:00 p.m., which is followed by "New Moon" at midnight.
"Well the line was all the way up to the sidewalk and it I felt like a little school girl like going to ask out a boy or something. I was so nervous. I was like please let me get a ticket, please let me get a ticket!" said Melissa Stegmiller, who waited in line to buy tickets early Thursday morning.
"All of a sudden it went from nothing in my life to this huge thing that kind of took over a little bit. I don`t know, it`s just so fun. It`s something to get away from your reality for a little bit," said Erin Jacobs, who bought tickets to watch both "Twilight" and "New Moon".
Tickets go back on sale Friday at noon. Grand Theaters says it hasn`t seen crowds this big since Star Wars.
