North Dakota will receive less H1N1 vaccine next month, and that`s why clinics across the state are encouraging people who fall under the CDC`s priority list to get vaccinated sooner rather than later.
"We are expecting a smaller shipment for next week," says Kara Todd-Iwen, the executive officer of UMDHU. "And to decrease in the next few weeks, hoping to increase by the end of December. But for the entire state, there was roughly 17,000 doses allocated for next week, which is substantially smaller than what we had been receiving."
The Upper Missouri District Health Unit will have their next clinic Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. or until the vaccine runs out.
This time, the clinic will be held at Williston State College. Here are the groups eligible for shots:
Children ages six months to 24 years; pregnant women; caregivers of infants younger than six months; and people ages 25 to 64 with underlying medical conditions.
As always, you can check the Upper Missouri District Health Unit`s website for more details at www.umdhu.org.
