The Healthcare Debate
Amanda Tetlak
11/17/2009
Representative Earl Pomeroy was in Bismarck today defending his vote in support of health care reform legislation.

A commercial by 60plus.org features a couple of Bismarck seniors who say the legislation Pomeroy voted for will cut Medicare benefits and their decision to choose their own doctors.

At a press conference this morning Pomeroy fired back saying those claims are not true.

And he had backup from the North Dakota Health Care Association, the Nurses Association and hospital representatives, along with a statement from factcheck.org.

Later tonight the AARP is hosting an event also showing its support for the legislation. Several community organizations will also share viewpoints of support.
