11/16/2009
Native Americans play a big part in our American Culture and even more so in North Dakota`s.

MSU is working hard to bring the knowledge of the Native American Culture to the University. They have recently hired Minot State University graduate and Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa native Dennis Parisien as the new Native American Student Counselor. Parisien says he hopes to bring more Native Americans to the University.

"We have to make Minot State more attractable to students. We have made our tuition more affordable. Now we need to show them what MSU is capable of doing," says Parisien, MSU Native American Student Counselor.

Parisien will also be an advisor to the Native American Cultural Awareness Club.
