A new judge is now overseeing the case against Montana State senator Greg Barkus.
The case was assigned to District Judge John McKeon of Malta yesterday. McKeon`s appointment comes a week after Barkus` attorney, Todd Glazier, requestsed the change.
Barkus was involved in a boating crash in late August which injured his wife, two of his staffers, and United States Representative Denny Rehberg. His blood-alcohol level at the time of the accident was twice the legal limit.
He has plead not guilty to criminal endangerment and two counts of negligent vehicular assault.
