Governor Issues Executive Order to Help Find Missing Students
11/3/2009
Governor John Hoeven has authorized the deployment of any and all available state resources in the search for the missing women.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol and Civil Air Patrol have also been conducting an air search. The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services and State Radio have been working with local authorities. And additionally, Hoeven today directed the North Dakota National Guard to provide helicopter support to the effort as needed by local authorities.

"Obviously our prayers are with these young women," Hoeven says. "We pray that we find them and that they`re safe. We pray for their families as well. Very, Very difficult situation, but we`re determined to do all that we can to search and find them."

The North Dakota Game and Fish and Parks and Recreation departments have ATVs, pick-ups and other resources ready to assist, as well.
