H1N1 Clinics also got underway in Eastern Montana last week.
The Richland County Health Department held two vaccination clinics focusing, once again, on those priority groups listed by the Centers for Disease Control. More than 200 shots were given out.
"We did two specific clinics last week and as of the end of the week, we had done 219 immunizations, focusing mainly on those priority groups of pregnant women, infants six months and children up to four years of age, and the household contacts of infants under six months of age," says Kathy Helmuth, Health Assurance Nurse Director. "And we did also do a few of the high risk kids between 5 to 18 years of age."
The Richland County Health Department has designated Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for H1N1 clinics.
