Man Arrested for Sex With 7 Year Old

| Fargo police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl. The suspect is one of the girl`s relatives. He`s 18-year-old Welden Littleghost, of Sheyenne, North Dakota, and was arrested this morning. Police say the girl`s mom and another relative went to check on the little girl, and that`s when they found Littleghost in her bed, assaulting her. Police say he had been drinking at the time. Fargo police Sgt. Mike Erbes says, "Always in these types of things, especially when children are involved there`s a lot of follow up interviews and we need to get as much information and detail about what happened during this incident, like we do in other cases. And because of the felony level of this case we do consider it to be, of course, a serious incident." Littleghost is being held on several charges including sexual assault, and faces up to five years in prison if convicted. |
