10/20/2009
An eastern North Dakota man accused of having sexual contact with three juveniles has pleaded not guilty to 20 counts of gross sexual imposition.

Jackie Palmi, 54, of Cathay was jailed in Rugby on $50,000 bond.

Wells County State`s Attorney Kathleen Trosen says the alleged assaults occurred as early as 2002 and as recent as June. She says all of the charges relate to abuse that allegedly happened when the juveniles were younger than 15.

Gross sexual imposition is a felony that carries a maximum punishment of 20 years in prison.
