A new addition to Dickinson State University`s Theodore Roosevelt Center is a 1919 documentary film shot in the North Dakota Badlands, featuring friends of Roosevelt. The center`s director, Clay Jenkinson, said he found the film in the Library of Congress. Jenkinson says the silent film runs 30 minutes. He plans to hire a lip sync expert to try to understand what was said by those who spent time with Roosevelt in the Badlands. He says the film shows them clearly. Jenkinson says the film also shows Medora`s Roughrider Hotel in 1919. The film is being shown at Dickinson State as part of the Theodore Roosevelt Symposium that runs through Saturday.
