Minot State University students are getting a head start in their careers as educators.
As a part of their elementary education curriculum, students are required to student teach for a semester.
But for many students stepping in to the classroom for the first time can be scary.
So MSU professor Ron Royer, has his students take part in a two day lesson, where they attend an elementary school and teach.
It helps them get their feet wet before they enter the classroom.
"At first I was nervous. But the students and teachers here at Surrey have made me feel comfortable. It`s been a great experience," says Mitch Strand, Elementary Education, Minot State.
The MSU Students taught Surrey students science experiments. |
