No Major Damage to Minot Overpass | Video
8/11/2009
A South Dakota man who bought an air seeder
in the Stanley didn`t make it
home with the piece of farm equipment.
Minot police say 31-year-old Joel Koskan from Wood, South Dakota, was
hauling the air seeder on the 2 and 52 Bypass in west Minot when the equipment`s raised arms became lodged beneath the overpass.
The accident blocked the eastbound lanes of
the bypass for about five hours.
The $48,000 air seeder is believed to be destroyed. Although the bridge is maintained by the city of Minot, they are having bridge experts from the Department of Transportation take a look at the damage. City officials say they don`t think there was any structural damaged, though a few chunks of concrete were knocked from the bottom.
