| Under Salem Sue this weekend, you`ll find the 49th annual Morton County Fair. It was a wet morning Saturday in New Salem, but that didn`t stop people from heading to the fairgrounds to listen to music, watch barrel racing, and enjoy other festivities. The fair started Thursday with the General 4-H achievement day. Organizers say people from all over the region, not just Morton County, came to the fair. Organizer Delores Burnen says, "When you come to the Morton County Fair, you walk in there, it`s just like a big `ol carnival and there isn`t even a carnival there." The fair runs through Sunday and ends with a Power Pull at 1:00 in the afternoon. |
