Fire Chief Gets Help From Neighbors

| Usually he`s helping people in situations like this, but Monday it was him getting the help. Minot Rural Fire Chief Rex Weltikol`s home in Sawyer is preparing for high water. On Monday about 40 volunteers helped sandbag Weltikol`s home, including many from Sawyer High School. "I commend all the people that came out here, the kids from Sawyer school. After this we`re heading to a neighbor`s house to help sandbag. This is what you have to do in instances like this," says Rex Weltikol, Minot Fire Chief. Weltikol started building his new home a year and a half ago. |
