Devils Lake & Stump Lake Could Rise To Historic Levels
KFYR-TV | 4/12/2009
More bad news for the already swelling Sheyenne River Valley. Devils Lake and Stump Lake could rise this summer to levels not seen in 2,000 years. Devils Lake could rise by 3.5 feet, and it`s also possible Stump Lake could get high enough that it would flow into the Sheyenne River Valley. The probability of Devils Lake rising to a record-breaking 1,459 feet and flowing into the Sheyenne River Valley has increased tenfold during the last six months to 6%.
