North Dakota`s last undecided delegate to the Democratic National Convention says he`ll be supporting Barack Obama.
David Strauss is the chairman of the North Dakota Democratic Party. He says he has remained neutral to make sure supporters of Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton were treated fairly.
Strauss says he also wanted to wait until the last Democratic selection contests wrapped up in Montana and South Dakota this week. He says Obama has a majority of delegates.
Sixteen of North Dakota`s 21 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are supporting Obama. Strauss is one of seven so-called superdelegates who may vote for whomever they please. All seven superdelegates are backing Obama. |
