	DAKOTA STAGE LTD. AND SHADE TREE PLAYERS PRESENT 2013 SPRING SESSION The revered children’s theatre program offers new and exciting classes for kids from 7-17 for their March and April pre-season. Play in a Day Instructor – Karen Van Fossan Saturday, March 16, 1-4pm Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex Ages 7 & Up 25 Students Max $50 Per Student Local artist and playwright Karen Van Fossan welcomes area students into her world of wonder as she guides them through this exciting workshop. Under Ms. Van Fossan’s skilled direction and spectacular imagination, children will work together to stage, rehearse and perform an entire play in a single day! Simple Stage Combat Instructor – Brandon Wetch Saturday, March 23, 1-4pm Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Center Ages 12 & Up 20 Students Max $50 Per Student Local actor and director Brandon Wetch shows students about the safety and style of stage combat in this introductory course. Children will work with Mr. Wetch as he demonstrates basic tumbling and hand to hand fight choreography for the stage! Intro to Improv Instructor – Derek Harper Saturday, March 30, 1-4pm Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex Ages 7 & Up 20 Students Max $50 Per Student Local actor and director Derek Harper invites students to come and explore the world of improvisation with this fun and fantastic class. Mr. Harper will teach children to think on the fly and act on their toes in this hands on instruction that demonstrates unscripted physical and vocal stage technique. Magic of Make-Up Instructor – Derek Harper Saturday, April 6, 1-4pm Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex Ages 7 & Up 20 Students Max $50 Per Student Local actor and director Derek Harper will be showing students the basics of theatrical make-up in this beginner class. Mr. Harper will be demonstrating techniques for old age, wound, fantasy and other face transforming designs. Welcome to Shade Tree Players Class Instructor – Amanda Perry Saturday, April 13, 1-4pm Frances Leach High Prairie Arts & Science Complex Ages 7 & Up 25 Students Max $50 Per Student Local artist and designer Amanda Perry welcomes first time and returning students to the class that shows them all what to expect from the Shade Tree Players program. Join Ms. Perry for this special session that covers the basics of auditioning, acting and theatre production through various theatrical exercises.
