Bye Bye Birdie
DATES: 1/18/2013 to 1/20/2013
The Broadway classic Bye Bye Birdie tells the story of an Elvis-type rock & roll singer, Conrad Birdie, whose heartthrob status would rival even the most desperate cases of Bieber Fever. Conrad is about to be inducted into the army so his manager, Albert, takes him to Sweet Apple, Ohio, to plant one last farewell kiss on Kim MacAfee, a small town American girl.

Birdie’s arrival throws Sweet Apple into a frenzy. The town’s teenage girls run crazy after they come into contact with their rock & roll idol; new relationships are thrown into turmoil by Birdie’s charisma; and the town’s parents worry about their kids loop-the-looping with a rock star. Add to the mix Albert’s own relationship drama and his overbearing mama, and you’ve got the recipe for a rollicking good time filled with catchy tunes and a lot of laughs.
