Alan MillerMATT HOPPER
Morning Producer

Matt Hopper began working at KFYR-TV as a camera operator towards the end of 2009.  After a few months of branching out within the company, he worked upwards to become an assistant producer.  Matt is currently the morning producer for Country Morning Today. 

Since that time, Matt has been a fill-in anchor and reporter.  He also presents regular historical and entertainment segments for Country Morning Today.

Matt pursued his love of film by attending Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2005.   He transferred to the English department and wrote articles for the college newspaper (“The Advocate”), as well as other campus publications.  He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from MSUM in English-mass communications in 2009. 

He worked as the editor/reporter/photographer for the “Leader-News,” based in Washburn, North Dakota, shortly after college.  After a few months of employment, he moved to Bismarck and landed a job at KFYR-TV, where he remains today.

Matt Hopper is a native of Alexandria, Minnesota.  He is married to his wife, Jescia Hopper, an artist from Mandan, North Dakota.
