KFYR-TV is proud to once again honor academic achievers in our 21st annual Best of the Class recognition luncheon and program.
Best of the Class is a community service, which congratulates our schools top academic achievers by recognizing them on television. Since 1991, there have been over 3,200 students from area schools who have attended the Best of the Class program.
Valedictorian(s), salutatorian(s) or honor student(s) from schools in the KFYR-TV viewing area are invited to this special program, in honor of their scholastic achievements.

Bismarck Civic Center - Exhibition Hall

After a luncheon and program, KFYR-TV personnel will videotape each student for the Best of the Class television commercials. During May and June, KFYR-TV will run the television commercials featuring the students. KFYR-TV will also award a $500 scholarship to one of the students at the program.
ATTENTION PRINCIPALS:
If you are a principal of a High School in the KFYR-TV viewing area, please consider having your honor students participate in the Best of the Class luncheon and program for 2011. Students must be pre-registered in order to attend our event.
To submit your valedictorian(s), salutatorian(s) or honor student(s) from your school, please send an email to mzent@kfyrtv.com with the following information: School Name, full student name(s), and complete mailing address for each student. We will mail a special Best of the Class invitation to these students.

Our school doesn't have a valedictorian or salutatorian instead we have honor students. How many can I send?
KFYR-TV wants to recognize all of the students in your school that are academic achievers. We would like you to send all that apply.
After re-calculating our records we found a mistake and need to send another student or replace a student.
Contact Mollie Zent at 701-255-8142 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Because of all the materials we have made up for each student, we need ample time to make the correction.
What can the students expect at the luncheon?
We are having a catered lunch with a special guest speaker and then the videotaping session. Each student will receive a special gift from KFYR-TV and a letter from Governor Hoeven congratulating them on their achievements. Plus, one lucky student will win a $500 scholarship courtesy of KFYR-TV.
What time do the students need to be at the Bismarck Civic Center, Exhibition Hall?
Registration will start at 11:30 am (CDT), lunch will begin at 12 Noon with the event ending between 2:00 and 2:30 PM (CDT).
What do the students need to bring?
Each student needs to bring their cap and gown.
